Sorry Ive been away, I was in Tenessee fishing last week and just got in late last night. I will be getting both cars tomorrow since our weather here is now tolerable enough to drive both cars to my store. I know a few of you PM`d me about the price and so forth and wanted some pictures. I will be able to send pictures tomorrow afternoon and give you a real specific walk around of the car or cars if you are interested in both. I was going to keep the 96 LT-4, but when I was gone I also traded for a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 Raodster in good condition, so that might be my spring toy now:D ! Please let me know what I can provide you via PM and Ill do my best to get that done. If I cannot sell it here, it will most likely go on ebay later this week. But Im a man of my word and since you all have helped Ill offer it up here and here only for a week.

Thanks for your help.

Now that was an interesting 89 Callaway.Too bad it was an automatic. Kind'a of miss being there this year with seeing it running on TV. Hey Chris one time you said you rode in 89 Callaway #69 what color was that car and do you know where it is now?
Thanks Ike:w

Car #69 1989 was a red convertible with a white top . I drove that car and was going to buy it but it had 7 owners and almost 12k miles on it.Reeves said it was the ugliest color combination on a Callaway

Ike, Car number 89-069 was owned by Stoudts auto sales in PA. They had it, sold it and then bought it back - this happened once, maybe even twice, as they really like Callaways in their inventory I am told :cool

The fella down the street from me who owned it, parked it outside every day - he has an LPE TT sitting outside right now in the snow & ice :eek

It was indeed a nice looking car - nose was chipped at the time but has since been refinished.

Red / Red/ white top - Car had turned 9k mi as I drove it - the owner very generously tossed me the keys and said to bring it back in an hour - I did, complete w/ a full tank of gas and I washed his windows for him :cool

Car was POWERFUL!!!! I do not know if it had the upgraded Wonderbar, but it had the hood blisters and they rose up witht he rest of the front end as I planted the accelerator pedal down to the floor :eek

Stoudt's may know where the car is if you were seriously looking for that particular car...

I too miss being at Barrett-Jackson, maybe then I could have seenthe SuperSpeedster again since they went to (seven) commercials:mad

89X2 and Callaway4fun: Thanks for info. Thought it might be neat to have last 89 built, but I'm not really a buyer for a red car. I like to look at them and buy to resell but never buy to drive. Too many bad experiences when younger:( with red cars and law enforcement people ;) especially red 1964 GTO that I had at 17 :D Thanks again Ike:upthumbs

Reuben, how did the car look????

Sorry guys, I didn't make the trip yesterday. I called in the morning and noone answered and it was kind of snowing/sleeting so I wasn't to excited about driving in that. I don't have anything for tomorrow going on so I might try and make it over there then......

Okay, now that my detailer has gone over this car with a fine tooth comb Im ready and motivated to sell it. The car turned out pretty darn good after the intense buffing it got. It needed it, it was pretty swirled up from car washes but now the color is bright and it looks as it should. The interior is is great shape with just some minor rub wear spots on the leading edge of the drivers seat. I need to have my wheel guy come out and trim the wheels up a bit, there are a few spots on a couple of the wheels that need attention. All in all it looks and drives like a 14k mile car, and I have FULL documentation for the car. In fact I have a stack of papers and info about a foot tall for this car. Im asking $34,900.00 to start, and am open to offers so long as they are reasonable. If you need pictures, let me know and Ill get them out as soon as I get time. Thanks again for all of your help, it wont go to ebay until later this coming week.

I went and looked at this car today. It's a real nice car. Not perfect condition, but a very nice driver. The blue is an awesome color. The interior is in great condition. The driver seat is showing just a little wear from getting in and out of the car but other than that it's in real good shape. There was an interesting plaque on the inside....there is a picture below of it. The Dymags weren't perfect but looked good. There were a coulpe spots on them were you could tell they had been rubbed on a crub or something. Under the hood looked good. It was clean for the most part.

Over all, I thought this was a pretty nice Callaway. Would make a very nice driver for someone.
