From the thick hose on the reservoir to the bottom of the power steering pump I noticed there is a black spacer/clip with the marking "Z5" that slips between the bottom of the pump line and bottom hose. What is the purpose of this clip? I have a pretty good idea, just want to confirm my thoughts.
I ask because my pump had no such spacer/clip, but the pump in the basement has the clip so I placed it on my pump. I hope I made myself clear and you can understand what I am referring to.
