This should be an easy one for many of you. I need help. Today I was sitting at a light, windows down, 78 degrees F.. I noticed the temp start to climb. Normally, this machine NEVER gets above 198, even in 90's temperature. Well, she kept climbing...200....205...210........til 225! What the heck!!! I remembered to hit the A/C to get the secondary fan pulled in. That did the trick. 225.....205.....200. The light changed. Off goes the A/C. I hit the interstate and the temp dropped to 193 and stayed there til I pulled into the driveway. Primary fan NOT on. Strange!
I've checked the fuse...Okay. I'm sure thermostat is fine cause she dropped rapidly in temp when I hit the A/C., plus okay running down the I-state with no A/C. Remember, it was kind of a mild overcast day.
I suspect a relay or sensor, or temp switch has failed to the primary cooling fan. My goofey Haynes says nothing! I know this has happed plenty of times before for some of you, cause I've read your posts.
Okay, please point me in the right direction. I think this will be a simple fix.
Thanks, as always, in advance. I know you guys will be "spot on" with this one!
