I know that you're only supposed to use liquid detergent, never to use fabric softener, and rinse twice. How about bleach? Can using towels that were bleached have a detremental affect on my finish? I just cleaned my Z06's rims (clearcoat, right?) with Meguiar's Quik Detailer (too damn cold to pull out the hose) and of course they were absolutely filthy when I was done.

Dennis,

Sometimes it's better to just throw the towels away if they get absolutely filthy!! I keep those red wiping towels that come in a bag for just that kind of dirty work and never use my good towels on the wheels. Just grit your teeth and toss them in the trash barrel!:D

oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the wheels are clearcoated, at least mine are on the 02
