Quadrajet fuel filter - 1 or 2

Guys and gals,
My 81 has an in line fuel filter at the carb.
Should I assume the internal fuel filter is not there or is there 2 filters.
1 in line, 1 in the carb?

There is only one way to be sure and that is to check but there is suppose to be one at the carb. If you also have an inline fuel filter then I would assume that the filter at the carb has been removed. There really is no need for two filters.

There should be an internal fuel filter in the carb directly behind the fuel line connection. It's not visible until you remove the fitting from the carburetor.

Get Mr. Roe's Q-Jet book. There is a chapter which discusses your carb (the "electronic" Quadra-Jet).
