Question about a '75 Clutch

Hi, I'm new here in this forum and I was hoping that someone here could help me out. I'm going to replace the clutch in a '75
conv. and I don't know how to find out how many splines are on the clutch. I know that I have a Saginaw 4-speed, but I don't know where to find the info I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

'75 trans

The '75 came with either a close ratio or a wide ratio trans. They were both Warner items. If you are sure you have a Saginaw in your car you will have to remove it to see what the splines are. Saginaws were not used in Corvettes so somebody would have had to change it. Both Warner trans use the same clutch disc but I can't find a reference right off as to spline count. GMPD didn't list spline count in the books since both trans used the same disc and it didn't matter.

I would speculate that since they call the Warner a HD aluminum case trans that it has 26 splines.
