Question about Tire Pressure DIC Code

I expected to get an error code on the DIC at each key up since I switched over to the new wheels without the TP sensors.

When I scroll through the DIC the tire pressure screens show the LF RF, LR RR with a blank (no dashed lines, no zeros) following each where the actual pressure readout used to be. However, no error message or code?

Any ideas why? I'm not complaining, it beats having to reset it each time. My '99 isn't supposed to be able to disable the feature right?

You no longer have the tranmitters in the valve stems to send the pressure signals.

I realize that is why there is no pressure reading on the DIC.

I'm just wondering why I don't get a code at each new key up. I think I remember C4C5 Specialist telling me that I should expect one. Thanks....Joe
