Question for Two-Tone Paint Owners

Swing your door open. Is the front door sill by the door pin (light/alarm switch) painted black on yours??

I don't have any 81 or 82's two tones at the moment,but I have had several!! And I've Repaired and Refinished allot more of them than I've owned, and I've never seen one that had black on the front hinge pillar before from the factory,unless the car was Black!!

I went out to see if mine was black on the inside of the front of my door :confused. Well, it is, and mine is factory original hnoes. Maybe they did this to the first 100 corvettes that were made that year , and all the ones that don't have black are just common vettes . Or maybe I'm just wrong.....naaaaaah :crazy
