I have a set of Rhino ramps that once I have the Vette up on them are great for doing some under car service. To protect the air dam I built some short plywood extensions. My problem is getting the car up on them. When I start up on the ramp they slid out. Any ideas?

Thanks

Attatch pieces of old tire or similar material to the floor contacts. That might help.

I tried the rubber thingy....it didn't work for me, probably cause of the epoxy on the floor. I drilled a couple of holes in the garage floor and inserted plastic anchors. Two small pieces of 5/4 in front of the ramps holds them in place. Takes two seconds to remove the drywall screws (2) from each piece. Just a little resistance to hold those rascals in place.

I had the exact same problem. I ended up using some 2x4's in a "T" shape against the back of the ramp and the other end against a wall. I have a small two car garage, so I don't have to contend with a bunch of stuff in the way of the wall. I hope this helps.

Thanks, what's a 5/4?

you guys may find that useing a section of thick rubber floor matt or section of old tire tread(readily available on most interstate highway road sides)thats about 12" x 36" thats both carraige bolted and contact cemented to the ramp surface so that about 12" is loose infront of the ramp for the vettes wheels to roll up on before the wheel starts to climb the ramp(thus locking the ramp in place) makes things far easier
