Rare? 78 Silver Anniversary

I called the GM number that I found somewhere on this web site, (don't ask me to find it again!) :confused I spoke with some guy, I didn't write his name down, he talked to me like I was 2! I don't think he is of the opinion that women should own vettes....

Anyway, he explained to me that they don't have the build sheets for anything prior to BG. (like we didn't all know that already) :duh He explained to me very nicely that I must be mistaken, they didn't make 78 SA's with Blue leather. He told me to check my plate on the passenger door and it would tell me what the color option orginally was. I patiently explained to him that I did that, and it was option # 292. He told me I read it wrong. I didn't have much patience left, so I thanked him and hung up. (I think he worked at Ford Motor in a previous life!)

Thanks everyone for your input! you guys are all great! If anyone ever runs across any info on a 78 SA with Blue Leather let me know!

The NCRS Spec Guide shows that the following interiors were available with the Silver Anniversary Package:

19C or 192 Black Cloth or Leather
72C or 722 Medium Red Cloth or Leather
76C or 762 Saffron Cloth or Leather
29C or 292 Dark Blue Cloth or Leather
12C or 122 Oyster White Cloth or Leather

Tee..... I think JohnZ nailed it down. The NCRS says it's so!! Kinda nice having a rarity huh? Post some pics when you get a chance. I think you now have piqued everyone's interest to see the SA with the Blue seats.
