I recently changed my front brake pads with little problems. However my back brakes pads are making that high pitched "change me" noise. Are the rear brake pads anymore difficult to change as the front pads are? Is there any concern about the parking brake cable being attached to the rear brakes? :ugh

Replaced front and rear brake pads and rotors with little effort on my 1989. Parking brake cable was not an issue.

I changed out all of mine at once and I changed out the rotors at the same time. I never even disconnected the parking brake.

The only issues for the parking brakes is with the 87's and older. They changed the design for '88 and later that simplifies brake changing a bunch. I'm at the point where it pretty much takes me longer to raise the car and take the wheel off than it does to change the brake pad.

Like Zum Zum said. takes longer to raise the car and take the wheels off than to change the pads.Easiest car I have ever replaced pads on.

On my 90 it was this easy.

Raise car
Remove wheels
Open bleeder and spread pads
Close bleeder
Remove the two bolts holding the calipers on
Replace pads
Install calipers
Replace wheels and lower car.

Same here did front and rear at the same time
not much difference in doing them.
A little bit different but not much
rears are much smaller the front.
and cheaper
