Rear Turn signals

I checked that plug in the back and there is power for everything except turn signals. Were is the next connection closer to the front? PS as a work around since it is getting dark and I wont be able to work on the car till next week I just ran wires off the output of the hazard switch. Turn signals are light blue and dark blue. I ran it to the back and everything works now. Either way I would like to fix it right so if you know were the cable connects to please let me know. Thanks.

I still need to find the original problem. Everything works but now when I press the brake both signal light indicators on the dash light up at the same time. I guess its because its looping back through the wire I ran. I can fix this with a relay but I dont like rigging things like that.. Any suggestions as to were else I can check for a broken or disconnected cable?

HI there,
Sorry about the delay, however, more research was needed.
Now, the first thing is your production date, as there are 2 different connectors that could be on your car.
You see, C146 is the connector, and it is located below the battery. Positive terminals were known to leak on Chevrolet cars and trucks, and with the connectors being below the battery, you may have some problems there.
It is a 20 pin connection if it is the early production, or a 10 pin, if it is the late, as I recall.
The problem may just be water intrusion. I would check to see if any of the connectors have any water inside them.
It would be easier to remove the battery, to check them all.
I am trying to find a picture to attach to help, but I havent found one yet.
Let us know what you find, c4c5:hb

Thanks I looked around the battery area but I'll look again. Thanks for your help once again...

try checking if there is power from the switch, green wire for right rear & yellow for the left. the indicator switch has 2 seperate circiuts for the front & rear lights.
