The prior owner installed an aftermarket automatic rear view mirror (Donally brand? it dims and has a compass). I align the mirror by hand so that I get the proper view, but after a little bit of driving vibration the entire mirror assembly drops. The ball joint behind the mirror is obviously too loose to hold the mirror in place. Needless to say, it is annoying and dangerous to have to keep adjusting the mirror. Has anyone had any luck in tightenning the ball joint or whatever behind the mirror to keep the mirror assembly from moving?
