REAR MAIN SEAL REPLACEMENT

I plan on replacing my rear main seal on my 1987 Corvette, while I have the transmission removed, is there anything else I should have replaced?

what tranny?

if yo got a manual trans. (BEING THIS OLD) change the clutch, pressure plate throwout bearing and pilot bearing.if an auto check the ring gear on the torque converter and replace if in doubt and the trans mount,starter and trans u joint. r/s frank

If it's an automatic, then replace the torque converter hub seal.
