Reconnecting stock tachometer in 89 Vette.

There is currently an analog and I was curious as to what type of job it would be to reconnect the one from the factory.

Is the wire for the tach still under the hood? If so hook it to the dist. cap terminal that says tach on it.

Depends where / how the original tacho was disconnected..
If wires have been cut then you may have a hard time tracing through

FWIW;
a aftermarket gauge will run without disconnecting the stock tacho; you just splice into the tacho signal wire
