Rob-

My vote is for the same or fewer forums, not more. I wouldn't try to recreate CF's Factory Correct Forum, which, truth be told, was more off topic than the other boards. My understanding is that it was created as an option to Vetteheads (or vice-versa) when the NCRS closed the off-topic forum on their site. The FCR name was just a nod to it's roots.

If anything, combine C1 and C2. As it is, I don't check C1 at all, even though I own one. The "one stop shop" of the C2 forum suits me fine. I'd kinda like to have the C3 guys in here, too, but I suspect a lot would disagree with me.

In a nutshell, I prefer a few busy forums to a lot of slow ones.

Mike,

I don't plan on recreating the CF's FCR Forum. I was over there this afternoon and read through the threads. For the most part, the majority of the threads I read, should have been moved to either their C1/C2 Tech forum, or the Off Topic forum.

Personally, I think there is inherent value in a General Restoration forum because there are a lot of restoration techniques, methods and products that are applicable to multiple generations of Corvettes and not just one particular generation. However based upon the amount of traffic seen in our General Resto. forum, I'd say the odds have been against my personal opinion. :L

Hi 67Heaven. I did occasionally post on the FCR but mostly lurked. There was so much good advice (and humor) sometimes it was tough to get a word in. I may be the only guy in Colorado who doesn't belong to the CCC. :D

Ahhhh.... but you can, if you want.... All it takes is the desire on occasion to twist a wrench, a GREAT sense of humor, and enjoyment of top shelf adult beverages...or not being bothered in the least by those that do.... :w Actually, since the CCC isn't a club or an organization, no one really belongs anyway...folks just drift in and out to various tuning, tech, and malt tasting sessions as they feel the mood upon them...... :bu Where do you live??

Thanks for the change. We'll have to see whether there are enough general topics to justify the change. Hopefully it will!

I, like 67Heaven, must say it's almost overwhelming to be consulted, let alone listened to, let alone responded to by Rob and company. That was not the case at the udder place. Not that I had a great deal to complain about- I didn't- but on those two occasions I sent an e-mail or an IM, I was not replied to in the first instance and brushed off in the second.

Thanks, guys- I'm impressed!

WELCOME

its so nice to see every one again ( or should I sat see there sigs )

Please keep in mind that unlike the CF, we do have signature size restrictions here in order to help keep the forums running as quickly as possible for everyone who relies on slow dialup connections to the internet. For more information, please see:

Geez, given those prerequisites I may have been eligible all along. I was envious of the pictures you posted on Brutal64's front end rebuild with all of the sun and refreshment. That day I ran down to the Springs with the top down and got a nice sunburn. Although as I type this now it's 5*, seems like a long time ago. Anyone from New Jersey reading this should realize it's always sunny and warm in Colorado. I live down South in Highlands Ranch and would love to hook up with you guy's.

But what happened to that Chuck Saugerhausen guy? Haven't seen him post in a while?

Now here's a "newbie" question: What does CCC stand for?

Len

Chuck Sangerhausen (Herr Doktor; Chuckles; Chuck S.) has gone on sabbatical. He's working up a new Vegas stand-up routine and will be testing it here in the future.

Any spare time he has right now is devoted to developing another alter-ego. ;LOL

P.S. He's also busy restoring his early C3, although I can't imagine where he finds the time. ;)
