Well I am living it...

Taking apart the engine of the 63 Coupe and finding the following:

Intake Manifold 1962 L-76
Exhaust Manifolds 1965 L-76 21/2"
Carburetor 1964 Carter AFB
Water Pump 1964 L-75
Mufflers 1972 Wielded together and to frame.
Wiper Motor - Missing
Fuel Pump - 1965 L-76
Fuel Line from behind wheel well to the fuel pump - Rubber hose with a fuel filter in series with another fuel filter after the fuel pump sitting on intake manifold
Alternator - ??? but new its a new one
Harmonic Balancer - 1966
Time Chain Cover - 1966
Splash Covers - home made
No window wash unit at all
Bolts, nuts and screws both metic and standart. This is drving me crazy.
Still trying to find year of heads

BUT - the enigine, transmission and rear end ALL ARE MATCHED....

This is just the engine area, its going to cost me over $7.000 in parts to restore this back to the L76 engine as it was in 63. What a mess, but I am enjoying this.....very much. I will restore this back to original condition.

OH ONLY IF I WERE A RICH MAN....

:crazy :crazy :crazy

Hey, what was the original owner's name? Maybe it was the same guy as Johnny sang about. :L

_ken :w

I agree, I love doing the research and finding so many new things about this....although winning the megamillions would help.
