Gents, My left window motor went out tonight. I have been meaning to replace the outer rubber seals but alas some water got into the inside and no more motor. ( I checked the switch 1st, and found that by swaping the right and the left the left (both) switches are fine, hence the motor).
Ok,so I remove the out pannel, the tin inside plate that holds the door handle etc, but I can not thus far see how I can remove the entire window assy, that being the motor, window and associated metal operating parts. I did remove the larger bolts (2 top and 2 bottom). I simply cannot see how I can ever remove the parts that hold the window, motor and gear that moves the window up and down. I suppose this unit has to come out to remove and replace the motor?
Anyone been down the road? Don't have a shop manual.. in the blind here, but don't want to give up and take it to the chevy house, at least not yet.
I see where I can get the complete assy at mid america and other supply houses.
Any insight would be appreciated.
PS: Any further ideas on how to get the windo in the up position to await the parts coming?
