The 79 coupe I just purchased is showing signs of delaminating/blistering of the fibreglass around the rear window trim. Looks like it's probably frost and water damage. What's the best way to relaminate and repair these areas? I plan on doing a complete body restoration so I was going to remove the windows anyway.
Also, one of the front fenders is blowed out a bit, about 1/2 " out of true with the bumperette. It appears that it make have taken a downward hit. There's no surface damage or cracking. I was thinking of removing the bumperette, appling some pressure to the side of the fender to bow it back and apply fbreglass to the backside of the fender to reinforce it from bowing back. Any thoughts?
I'm new to bodywork on a vette so a more detailed "step by
step" would be helpful.
Thanks
Steve
