'98 C5, Light Carmine red metalic coupe.
Thanks for accepting me to CAC! Been away from Corvettes for several years after racing/autocrossing Porsches for better than 15. But in the 90's I owned and loved my first Vette, a '75, L48, 4sp with factory A/C. Sold it in '98 to grow a small business..... Now retired, I told my wife once we got settled in our FL home I was going to find a nice Corvette to drive daily. And I did just that. I found a well cared for '98 Light Carmine Red Metallic / Lt. Oak coupe with an auto trans, (traffic is terrible here in SW FL so I wanted something easy to drive!) I was also a GSM ad Corvette specialist at a few Chevy dealers in WI for 15 years, (also in the 80's & 90's) leaving the business at the end of '93. So C4's were very familiar to me. My current car has had a complete ZO6 brake upgrade including full cooling ductwork. So I hope to learn more out C5's from this community. I should also mention I work part time at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, FL as a curator/light maintenance/question & answer guy now. This is the largest private collection of Corvettes an GM (mostly Chevy) muscle cars in the country. A "bucket-list" visit to any car enthusiast. The collection owner has more Corvettes than the National Corvette Museum. 24, "67, 427, 435-tri-power cars alone!

Thanks! Looking forward to being here. (after I figure out to navigate a little better!)

Welcome to the CAC

That's a nice looking '98. I like the Z06 brake ducts. That museum has been on my list for some time. Hope I make it someday.

Thanks Tom, The brake ducts were something I learned about after owning the car a few months. (bought last Sept) I really enjoy driving her! There'll be no disappointments if you make it to the museum.
