Do the trunk partitions sold on ebay work and really
keep the road noise down inside the car?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

I don't think they would help your coupe.
I was thinking about getting one for my 02 conv.
I still have the run flat tires and i guess thats where
most of the noise is coming from. The tires are to good
to change just yet so I need a temporary fix.

I read a magazine article where they did some testing of noise and application of soundproofing. If I remember correctly, a major part of the noise comes through the bulkhead behind the seats. The addition of soundproofing was much more effective than the partition. Before those mods, I could not conduct a conversation with the passenger if we were on a rough road surface. With the 2 mods, it is now pretty easy.

When I got my 02 vert it came with a Sound Killer brand
noise partition in it. That seems to cut down on the
noise pretty well and is easy manage. But I am also going to
use some sound proofing insulation under the carpet and
behind the seats in the near future.

I have it on my 04 convertible and it helps. A side benefit is that I have less space to cool down and that helps in the hot South Florida summer.
