greetings, I just purchased a 62 and before I can get it registered in Arizona I need seat belts.
1. did the 62 originally come with installed seat belts?
2. I am a level 3 of 5 mechanic, Are these difficult to install?
3. I would need the complete set up including all under carriage hardware
where would be the best place to buy the parts? thanks in advance for your input. vinny;help

Unfortunately for you 62 is the first year seat belts were standard on a corvette. All the corvette parts vendors carry a wide variety of seat belts. Paragon has a basic replacement set with hardware for $62.
www.paragoncorvette.com
or
www.ecklers.com
or corvette central, or zip or midamerica or .... jegs, summit, wise guys etc...
Scale of 1-5? Maybe a 1.5? Not too difficult.

thank you for your input. vinny

Pull out your seat bottoms and look for these. I'd be surprised if they are not there.

All Corvettes had factory-installed seat belts as standard equipment starting in 1958 (and the anchorage plates were there in '56-'57 for dealer-installed belts). All of the usual vendors have replacement seat belt sets. Unless someone tore them out of the underbody, the anchor plates should be there; the photo in Tom's post shows the outboard anchor, and the inboard anchors are on the underside of the transmission tunnel.
