Seatbelt

Has anyone had problems with their seatbelt not catching? The receiver (female) portion of the seatbelt will hold the belt, but the belt will pull out (disconnect) if there is any tension applied to the belt. This is not a good deal if you actually have to use the belt!

How hard is it to replace the short portion of the belt (female portion)? It appears that the seat has to be removed to get to the belt; how hard is it to remove the seat? Any suggestions as to where to get the part?

Any problem with the seatbelt, I would replace it with a new one from the dealer. You can't afford to take a chance with a used one.

I plan on replacing the old belt with a new one. But the dealer won't be the one putting it in ... not when they (Landmark Chevolet of Houston) charged me $71.20 to change aright-front turn indicating bulb!

I guess the question is how hard is it to replace the belt and are there any tricks of the trade to consider?
