CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -<br /><br />A 2008 Corvette is now parked at the Clayton County Sheriff's Department, to be used for work purposes.<br /><br />Some citizens are concerned that the department used taxpayer money to buy the car, but Clayton County Sheriff's Department's Director of Constituency Services, Clarence E. Cox, said the department didn't pay for it.<br /><br />Cox said the car clearly says on the back: "Donated by a Local Drug Dealer."<br /><br />According to Cox, the car was used to transport cocaine and that the drug was even sometimes stashed in a taillight.<br /><br />After that dealer was busted, the sheriff's department seized the car.

Seems like a good reason to seize a vehicle to me! Too bad they didn't do a better job of painting it!

Looks like it was wrapped not painted.

Sherrif did the same thing in Wake County NC (Raleigh) a couple of years ago.

But the vehicle they seem to use the most around here is the Black Tahoe

It appears the Sheriff is enjoying driving this "drug prevention" Corvette. Wouldn't it make sense to sell it for nearly $100,000.00 and put that in their expense account? I hope they didn't spend too many tax dollars to paint it and make it even worth less. :)
