I knew of someone that tried to fill their car once with gas and was unable to get one drop into the tank. In fact they couldn't get the nozzle into the tank. After several minutes of trying the problem was realized. The filler attempted to put diesel into the car. I am unable to disclose who the person was that attempted this. :L

I have had that problem a few times too. Just making the flow a bit less usually does the trick for me.

Don't let them get you down. I almost put deisel into mine the other day when I stopped for gas. I caught myself when I realized I didn't remember seeing a green handle on the pump before, and then noticed there were two pumps at the filling station. Mental note: use the one with the black handle.


And if BV continues to try and taunt you, we'll get him a cat to keep his parrot company.

That aint nothing I will get people come in where I work with the big diesel trucks and put racing fuel in them :L .......the thing that gets me the racing fuel hose is 2 feet long the diesel one is about 6.

Just in case no one got the joke, BV was capping on me about filling up will Diesel. I have owned a Dodge diesel way before I bought the Z06. Real funny BV how so many fell for it.

That aint nothing I will get people come in where I work with the big diesel trucks and put racing fuel in them :L .......the thing that gets me the racing fuel hose is 2 feet long the diesel one is about 6.

Slong, the important question is: have you ever repeated the mistake? If the answer is no, well, that means you learned from the error. And if you never repeated it, there is no trend here to be made fun of.

That means that not only are you a very cool Z06 owner :cool , but one who has demonstrated the ability to learn from past mistakes. Shrug off those folks who might want to make a big deal out a nothing one-time occurence. (They're just hiding the fact that they've done the same thing multiple times, and won't fess up.) :L

I can almost put a baseball bat in the opening for my fuel tank.Would be easy to pump diesel into it. I guess they changed them after the unleaded fuel came onto the fray.

What bad, Vettefan87? Did you do something wrong? If so, I can't see it.

I should be more clear in what I meant in my post. BV was trying to cast aspersions on Slong for a mistake I would venture that a lot of folks have made- myself included- but would rather not admit to. My reaction to to this casting of aspersions: big deal. Slong just owned up to his mistake, and I credit him for that.

If the Z06 runs without problems, all is good.
