Has anybody ever disabled that stupid shift up light which is on my 88? I can't even find the circuit listed in my GM manuals. Help.

Well Mike I thought it may come to that or pull the cluster and take out the bulb. Ugh.

The c-4 84-89 has an LCD panel which 4 bulbs light up the panel OH WAIT! you could put a piece of black tape INSIDE the dash, on the colored gel that would block the thru light... well MOST of it
Or use black paint on the backside of the LCD panel

Well Mike it looks like I'm stuck with that stupid light. Oh well I guess I'll just have to get over it.

Or... you could look out your window and wave at the rest of the world as you drive by, then you'll never notice that light.
