Should I get a ZR-1?

buy one if you want a car the some day need a $1500 water pump

That seems kind of high to me, but I do not own one and have no idea how hard and how much labor is involved in saying that,I do not know of any Corvette that is cheap to maintain. You pay to drive the best.

The ZR1 was my favorite C4 by far, other then the Callaway vettes, but those were really out of the question. Hopefully someday I will be able to pick up a king of the hill. Definetly get one if the price is right.

Where the heck do you buy your parts from ?

How about this, if you don't have something constructive to say, keep your sarcastic remarks to yourself.

The value of a ZR1 today, is mostly due to mis information from people like yourself.
i stand corrected they are only $600 now but wait till the stock runs out

Actually, every now and then a brand new water pump is offered on ebay for around $250.00. Even if you couldn't find a brand new one, so long as the housing is not destroyed, it could be sent off to be rebuild for even less.

The point is. A would be buyer will read from these vette web sites in order to educate themselves, and will end up making conclusions based on false information. Most of the negative information floating around about the LT5 is from people who have never owned one and or know very little about them.

I don't know where you got that number (I can probably make a good guess), but I can pick a pump up at my local dealership for 300.00 and have it installed in 3 hours myself.

There Will Always Be Parts Around 4 Da King

Often when a zr-1 is wrecked the lt5 is ok and saved... this is why we see so many going in special c2's and other rides... there are guys sitting on many lt5's all over the place..hell i'll bet we will all be dead and there will still be lt5's around and water pumps for them as well!!! nuff said..long live the king and the heart of the beast the LT5555555555555555555555555555555......best damn stock production engine ever put in an american car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
