When converting an underbody-exhaust C3 car to sidepipes, you're left with holes in rear panel. I know the panel's holes can be filled or panel replaced. I have an idea for my 71 but dunno if it'd be cheezy looking ... fit some nice rectangular driving/fog lamps into those holes ... to function as back-up (or dim-it reminder) lamps. What do you think?

Not sure if it's an exact fit but I would guess it should be pretty close - why not get the rear filler panel for a 69 w/ factory pipes? Ecklers sells them for 180.99, part #25518. The lighting idea does sound interesting though.

Get some aircraft landing lights or other hi-intensity beams for those rotten tailgaters. :D Or just get the panel for a car with factory pipes.
