Getting ready to replace the radiator support/skid bar assy. I ordered the thread inserts but wonder how they are secured in the framework? Should get them tomorrow but could use any advice. Does it take a special tool or can a DIY at home accomplish it ok?

Actually there is a special tool for it!!:thumb
But you can do it with a 1 1/2 inch long Bolt,Nut and a Flat Washer, but it takes longer!!:thumb

Any idea where I could purchase one of these. Do you have any idea if the larger insert used at the horn mounting location is the same as the ones in the frame at the 4 upper mounts.? I found the two front insert torn free but think I can straighten the frame mounting locations so I can reinstall the inserts.

I got mine at Harbor Freight, it was in a kit with several different sizes of inserts, I want to say it was about 15 or 20 dollars.
