Hi,
Getting light wispy smoke from top of steering column.
Telescope not working smoothly.

Any ideas ?

Disconnect the battery
Have it towed to your dealer or other service facility for repairs.
 
If something is smoking, that means short-circuit. Don't take a chance!! Disconnect that battery and call the dealership!!

The people have spoken! We agree with everyone on this thread, you need to get your vette into the dealer as soon as possible. If you would like we can help you through the process, it's totally up to you! We'd like to see you back on the road, especially as we come into cruising season!
