It was a real nice day today, so I thought I would get out my lonesome camera and take a few pics.

But I am having color calibation problems - she looks too orange - supposed to be Torch Red. Anyhow, I will figger that out and fix sometime.

(PS: don't tell me about color calibration - I use Photoshop CS and my monitor is calibrated with a Pantone colorimeter. I know alot about this stuff!)

This is after the new Kimho ASX's and the new front air dams were put on.

Where did you get the chrome rims and how well are they holding up? They look good

Thanks.

They came with the car. I don't know much history about her - I am the 4th owner, and the rims were put on by the second.

They are not stock GM chromed - they are aftermarket. But that's all I know.

As far as condition, they are pretty much perfect. No rot or blemish that I know of. Living here in the lazy south, there is almost no parallel parking and hence no curb rot!

My Wheels?

... want my rims? ...

Y'know, there is a funny story there, sort of.

When I had the Kumho's mounted last week, we found that one of the lugs was one of those locking jobs where you need a special "key" adapter to unscrew it. I hate those things.

Unfortunately, the previous owner didn't give me the key! Luckily my local guy had a box full of 'em, got the rims off, and then replaced the lugs with regular ones.

But if there is going to be a problem, I may put them back on! ;)

what a shine

Now that is what I call a shine on a Vette :upthumbs

Looking good Bob

Thanks Mike. She actually hasn't been waxed in about 6 minths! The previous owner took real good car of her - I think he used the Liquid Glass products on the finish.

I am a firm believer in NOT overwaxing a car. I use one of those California dust brushes, and some "between waxes" spray.

Its a bit cold here during the winter (cold enough to not want to get out and wash/wax) but spring is just about here. I ordered a bunch of Zaino stuff the other day and then we'll see.

I have heard that most of the Southern states around here do not require front plates. Yes, I agree, the front looks a lot better without one.

But on one of her previous cars, my wife made me put the plate bracket on, so she could have an vanity plate (not state) on the front. Oh well...

Oh, I didn't comment on your past Vettes - nice series of rides! I noticed in particular the photo of one stuck in the sand. I did that the other day - living on an island off the NC Coast - its ALL sand! I was going to a party, and had to get about 12 guys to come out and push me free - but we had to dig out a lot of sand first!

Beautiful pictures Bob. I have promised myself to take new pictures of my Vette, but the weather here is so damn cold I could not get to it yet. I also need my younger son help me with the polishing part and he is busy getting ready for college exam...

Cheers,

Selim

Very nice...

Great pics Bob...she's a beaut! Interior looks great too! Definite head turner!

My wife liked your Vette. I said to her "but its the same - '95, 6-speed, sawblades, etc" but I guess she likes the yellow!

Bob

I like yellow with all black interior too; I got it all by luck. Corvette is a rare car here... So I had to buy whatever I could find at the time - unless it was a bad one; fortunately this one came around :)

Here is a picture of the "yellow beauty" with my older son.

Tiled garage w/ walls painted the color of your car = PRICELESS :upthumbs

Jeff,

Thanks for the compliment my friend. We got the house painted a few years before we bought the Corvette. Inside the living room and kitchen are the same color. We thought the yellow color would make the house look warm and cosy. And I think it did. We have a fireplace and wooden floors in the living room; it is really nice. A few years later Corvette joined our family, and all by coincidence it is also yellow :)

Cheers,

Selim
