Thanks Mac and Jeff for the invitation over here. I actually joined a couple years ago, but didn't visit much. Great to see so many from the gang here. :cool

Something weird is going on with my computer, though. I click on a topic and I don't get the rotating watch symbol. Instead I see the page I requested appear. Should I download a different browser for my Mac? When am I supposed to make phone calls and do work without the "take a break" screen I'm so used to? :confused

Hi there Mike!

Hi Mike. How's your car coming after 'the incident'? Inquring minds want to know!

That windstorm was way back in November. For those that don't know, I got some nasty scratches when the 20'x30' canopy pulled stakes and blew over (or rather across ) my newly painted and polished body.

No progress on the car has been made since then because, amazingly, I've gotten paying gigs! The architect is now trying to get plans for a new garage through the city. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as he says it's 50-50 whether I'll get approval. It's in the parking lot of my recording studio so there is a question of maintaining parking spaces as well as turnaround distances. Also, there is a telephone pole which may carry an easement which would prevent construction.

long time, no see!

Glad to hear you've got some paying gigs. That'll help pay for everything going on in your life. I considered music as a career for a while but after hooking up with a bar band and playing for scale on the weekends for a while, I decided I wasn't cut out for it. Lots of fun when things were rolling but the other guys didn't like to practice. If you're the Grateful Dead, you can get away with that but if you're the Starving Musicians, you can't.

58mike on your building permit make sure you exspain it is for indoor parking of a vehicle you are not losing any spots you are just converting them from outdoor spots tp indoor spots

I am dealing with a simular situation.

PS THANKS FOR COMING OVER TO SAY HELLO

Ya, It's good to hear your makin' money instead of spendin' it [on the vette] for a change!. Do I sound like your wife?

Hey, Mike!

Do I presume your initial post to mean that things move a bit faster on this site than on the "improved server" at the udder place?? They certainly do for me. Everything pops right up; no time for calls; no time for :drink. But, it is kind of interesting seeing "old faces" turn up here this rapidly. I'm sure the Admins love it....... :s They seem a pretty good lot, however. And, hey....the smilies are vastly superior.

Brother MAC users unite!

And a Vette head..... and in the industry TOO!

58 We have something(s) in common!

The reason you have no time left to take a break..here.. is the server doesn't need a skate key..or hamster food!

( No wonder so many people were grouchy over there!)

Welcome to the CAC!

I'm amazed at how many familiar names I'm seeing. :) :w

And, I keep finding cool new things on this forum. There's lots to check out.
Speaking of familiar names, I see John McGraw just signed up- another welcome addition!! :)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info on this site, I think I am going to like it over here!

Hey if the amount of people keep jumping ship

From the "UDDER" forum.. the server MIGHT appear FAST.... and the Hampster could get a day off!

Welcome one & all

Vig-

You're a Vettehead, too? What name do you use? I'm not over there much, mostly just when I can sneak in a jab at Mr Restring.
