This question does not pertain to my corvette .. . I have a 73 scout with worn valve guides . .it runs great after I tune it up but after a few months the plugs get a bit fouled and it then doesnt start on the first turn . .what I need to know is will a higher output coil effect starting . .should I run a hotter plug . . an MSD ignition would solve the problem but even though its restored I dont drive it enough to justify the money . . any thoughts? JIM

I'd try one or two heat ranges hotter on the plugs before I spent any money on ignition upgrades, and evaluate it from there.

thanks guys - never even heard of nonfoulers but I think the higher heat range might do the trick.
