Since I live in the Northeast, I put my '08 Z06 away in November. Is there a recommended procedure for the initial spring start-up with a dry-sump? On my other Vettes, I would disable the fuel pump & coils, crank it until the pressure was up, then reconnect everything and fire it up. Is this ok with the dry-sump?
Also, the owner's manual "implies" that only 5w30 should be used in the C6 Z06. I have always used Redline 10w30 in my Vettes. Since I don't do any cold weather driving, wouldn't 10w30 work safely? I will be taking it to the track this summer and want better protection.
