I could not afford the chrome route on some engine covers goodies so I went with polished stainless steel. Windex or bathroom scribbing bubles stuff work prttey go to clean and shine up S/s. What does anybody use to keep smudges and dirt under control? It seems if I get my hands anywhere neat the S/s it leaves a smudge that takes a little rubbing off to get rid of. What should I cover it with to keep it looking prettty? Car Wax ?

I use a product by the name of FLITZ! I used it on my airplane propeller and even on the paint[body]. Outstanding! It is the best product I have found for S/S or chrome.

You have several options for polishing stainless. Flitz is a very good choice, and so is Wenol, Mother's Metal Polish, Eagle-One Never Dull, etc. Waxing the metal is up to you, just remember that every time you polish it you'll need to rewax.
