On a 74 vette, what is the purpose of the switch on the pass side of the firewall and also the one on the accelerator pedal? Thanx

I'm not sure about anything on your passenger's-side firewall, but the one on the accellerator pedal triggers the air door in the hood to open and let cold air in, when the pedal is depressed all the way.

I'm putting a 73 hood on a 76, and I wondered what triggered the door on the hood. Now if I can only find one of those switches.
