Hi folks.

Can anyone tell me if a regular double din stereo fits in a 1993 corvette. Thinking about installing a Pioneer head unit with navigation. :W

Thanks.

Don't hold me to it, but I believe that the double din is the correct size. However if you have a Bose system now the speakers also need to be replaced.

Thanks.
I have a JVC, so the system is rebuilt already. Still use the original boser speakers.
Regards,
Steve

GM Factory System Integration Adapter

Crutchfield offers an adapter to get after market stereos to work with the Bose system properly.

Sounds like this unit may be already installed or bypassed altogether. A bypassed installations usually send out too much wattage to the Bose systems. You may notice some sound quality issues with a lack of frequency response at either the low or high levels and excessive mid range. FYI- Bose uses the amplifier equivalent of "coil on plugs"- that means each speaker has its own amp integrated into the assembly at the speaker.

Either way, the double din is correct for the 1993. If you go with a double din sized unit you'll be fine. If you use a single din like this-

You'll need a din adapter. You'll also need to find a place to mount the Garmin component portion of the system.

Hope that helps!
