Question: Storage Compartment "Shocks"

I have a 2004 convertible. The storage compartment cover won't stay when putting the top up/down. Nothing in the OM about any adjustments. Are there any adjustments for this? Not a real threat just a PITA!

If it is the convertible top cover (waterfall cover) that won't stay up when putting the top up, there are two struts that hold it up. One or more could be bad/unhooked. Good luck with it.

Waterfall Cover

Thanks. It is the waterfall cover. Are these hydraulic struts like on the trunk? Unhooked? How could they become unhooked?

Not by themselves, but you never know. Just make sure that they are installed, and yes they are hydraulic just like the trunk struts. With the waterfall up, use a flashlight and follow the hinges towards the trunk area (they run parallel to the top of the rear fender inside the trunk), and you will be able to do a visual on them. Good luck with it.
