Along comes a Corvette pickup truck. One of our readers sent us this link to an advertisement on EBAY:
One of a kind Covertible Corvette Pickup Truck with removable hard top. This beautiful vehicle was the pride of ownership to one of the principle owners of Bayliner Boats. Specialized molds were created to stretch the 1984 front and 1991 rear Corvette body. This car has a Munci 4 speed transmission and a 350 engine. Over $115,000 was spent to build this masterpiece.

Quick hide the picture

GM has enough problems without maybe toying with the idea of building a Corvette Pick-um up truck.

They already have the Cadillac Escalade and one of their counterparts, Ford has the Lincoln Mark LT.

To what purpose? Just what does one haul in a Cadillac or Lincoln Pickup?

Yeah I know that

They have not built it, yet, but given their current problems someone (Vp, president, Director) may come up with the idea to build one as a means of solving their problems.

{Insert Jaw dropping smiley here}

Things people do.. But i do think it's very well done, not my cup o' tea, but well done nonetheless..

Another one for the "other" CAC photo section.. ;)

GM did not build this....

Maybe that is the Corvette SS concept car. However, I'm agree with Pseudomind on this one. Hide the pic so GM doesn't get any ideas.

H.D.

Masterpiece? Ha!

"Masterpiece"? Hardly. More like Frankenstein monster.

Reminds me of the mid to late 70s fad of turning Vettes into station wagons. So much time and money spent on something so hideous.

Weirdness!

Hey

Where can I get a trailer hitch mount?

Hook me up one of those little homes and pull behind me as I go.

Damn, I just missed this and I could have had this over my new C6!

Someone puh-LEEZE tell me that this was a reconstruction of a wreck . . . and that this guy did NOT take a perfectly good Corvette and mutilate it . . . :mad

Well they have discontinued the El Camino........;LOL

have to admire the work put into it though...........

Compared to that 1985 that was splatered with a zillion colors of paint inside and out which I saw at Carlisle a couple years ago - this one looks pretty good. Being an Elky owner I like it.

Lets see....

I have a 98 Chevy K1500 pickup, and also a '68 vette.......

naw... I couldn't do that.

Very well executed though.

It is bizarre, but strangely compelling.
I gotta go with Tammy on this one. I kinda like it! Hey, Porsche makes an SUV! ;LOL
