Anybody got straight pipes instead of mufflers, how is the sound compared to stock and is it to much? Any power gains?

You would probably get more hp from muffler elims than from any muffler, like 3-5 more, but your ears might not be able to stand the abuse.

personally i love the sound! for now i just got turn downs bolted to the rear Y pipe on my L98 but after today with a new front Y pipe with no precats and a gutted cat it might be alittle louder but we shall see. i like the nascar sound 
not that loud at all at idle but at WOT you can definetly hear it. with the windows up it's not that bad.
just go for it. worse case scenario your buying a set of mufflers
