I was using plastic polish on my Dads 75 vert rear window and I test spotted some places on the interiors of my brothers 77 and my 81. I ended up using it on all of the gauges, the whole center black console, park brake lever, the horn emblem and the rear tail lights. It really gave it a good shine, dulled the scratches and was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend trying it.:D

Sounds like it turned out nicely. Did you happen to take any pics of your work that you can post for us?

Polish

How about telling us what brand and where you bought it?;shrug

It was just some convertible rear window plastic polish from meguiars I got at autozone. It polishes anything plastic apparently. I saw someone use it on an old ferrari's plastic headlight covers (on a tv show one sunday) and thought about all of the plastic on corvettes I could try it on, but I forgot all about that show until I started working on Dads convertible. It didn't totally eliminate the scratches but its a lot better than armor all on black plastic and no greasy residue on the interior. The gauges look brand new and the center black plastic is real shiny now.

plastic polish works great on your all your smooth plastic surfaces. i use Mothers plastic polish. to me Armor-all is the worst stuff to use because it attracts dust like a magnate.

This is a very nice product available from BMW dealers. I use it on my rear window.

And i like the tire black you used too..just black..... many products leave the tires looking greasy like the import guys all use. Personally I cant stomach a tire that looks like a dog just peeeed all over them. obviously i like the paint on that car too. AWESOME :upthumbs

If you are referring to my 1974, I use Lemon Pledge on the tires.

Lemon Pledge!! I will have to remember this. I have heard this before but I have none in the garage. Time to pick a can up this weekend.
