Okay, so they changed these labels to be non removable in the 2004's! Man, very different then the previous years labels. I've taken off 1999, 2000 and 2002 labels with no problems. I was finally able to remove them with the use of a hair drier, but left white glue residue behind.

Any ideas on how to get this off?

Might be better to remove the visor, tape it as well as you can
and paint the sticker, or dye it.

;LOL

Hair Dryer, Pair of Pliers, and roll of duct tape will do the trick. Go to www.fixedroofcoupe.com for detailed instructions. Am looking at doing mine this weekend. Good luck.

Might try some goo gone, that might get rid of the "white sticky stuff".

In our company we use the ZEP orange cleaner , (available from Home Depot) at full strenght, on some paper towel, does not harm plastics .

Okay, I got the glue off!

Procedure (2004, the 2003 and earlier may not require any of these. I have been able to remove 1999 and 2002 sticker, by just peeling them. . . )

1) Heat stickers with hair drier, but be careful not to burn the sun visor.

2) Work at one corner with finger nail and begin pulling sticker off while keeping it warm with hair drier. Using pliers or needle nose pliers will help. Peel it back at an extreme angle very slowly.

3) Once removed, use a terry cloth with Brakleen and wipe off glue residue. Keep turning towel and keep it wet with Brakleen. Then turn to dry portion of towel and dry it off. It will dry quickly anyway. Do this still it's all off.

4) Throw away terry cloth, it will have glue residue on it. Be careful with the Brakleen, it can damage plastics, leather, etc. . . don't get it in your eyes, keep it away from the hair drier. It can also hurt your skin, with prolonged contact. Read the can's warnings.

Thanks!

Good luck!
