Swap 84 OD with 88 OD

Will there be any problem putting a new 88 OD in my 84 4+3. Any Major changes that need to be made?

No, you will have a stronger O/D unit 86-88 have an extra direct and O/D clutch. You will not have a T/V cable so shifts into O/D will be firmer but that is the only real difference you will feel. The T/V cable will be removed(don't throw it away as far as I know they are no longer made) and it is used only for shift feel not shift point at in a 700R4.
