Hi all,
I did a search and found a post from 2003. There was a guy who switched his 1971 from the stock solid aluminum mounts to rubber mounts, which GM started in 1973. He said the ride was much better. Apparently it raises the car about a 3/8" or so. I could live with that.
My stock aluminum ones have been eaten away due to bi-mettalic (dissimilar materials) corrosion. Looks like the aluminum was eaten away.
Has anyone else done this, I am thinking about going with the energy suspension kit.
Thanks Ed
