The General and the C6

Word has it that former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, will pilot the Corvette C6 pace car at the 2005 Indy 500 in May. I remember reading that Gen. Powell has purchased a new Vette as a retirement gift to himself. In his autobiography he claims to be a genuine"car guy" spending time restoring and working on his beloved Volvos as a therapy. I can think of no better representative for the Corvette than to have the General driving the "General's" greatest product in the great American race. Do you suppose he will become a forum member?

Gen. Powell will indeed by driving the pace car at this year's Indy 500. HERE'S a story Rob posted about it.

As for him ever joining the CAC as a member... who's to say he hasn't joined already?
