Theres a guy on the corvette forum that has a "aug 68" 427 block with a CE casting.. and he wants $1600
so nothing new looks like Ill have to save all my pennies in order to do this

He's from Canada. The price of this block varies, I'm following it already for 2 years. Not easy to sell it for that price.
It is exactly what I need, but too expensive for what I want it for.
I only want a correct casted block ( correct casting and date number ) , not restamp it as this is very difficult to do correctly due to the factory swirl marks being near to impossible to reproduce. No need to restamp if everybody can see it's not original.
I do not want to sell my car during this life, so I'm not so desperate to pay more than 1 K for only a block.
