The state went and "repossessed" my plate

Now don't THAT beat all? The state of Iowa, after my having had it for 3 years, decided it wanted my special plate back. Said it was "obscene".

So, after a long and drawn out battle with City Hall, I surrendered ONE plate to them at the courthouse, (I kept the other one as proof that I did have it).

Long live "FN KEWL", may it rest in peace. Welcome "KEWL 04" as it's mellower and much tamer and "politically correct" replacement.

DMN Karl that was a KEWL plate too bad some people have no sense of humor;)

What happened to your '94(?) that you had at CruiseFest 1? That was a pretty nice ride you had!

Kinda strange that they'd take it abck after 3 years of being on the road. Oh well... the state of Ohio wouldn't let me get "STUPIT"! Now, how STUPIT is that?!?! hahahaha... I went around with 'em too and they couldn't give me any reason other than "...it's objective and if we think it might be offensive in any way, it doesn't get issued." I was like, "Who the hell is it going to offend? My english teacher???" Such absurdity...
I just thought the plate was funny because it said exactly what it was in more ways than one! (Note: It was for my daily driver, not the vette.)

I hate Iowa license plate Nazis… F em all!:r

It's Illiniois plate Nazis, but nice reference nonetheless! ;)

I've seen some out here in CA that should, in theory, be pulled but it's not gonna be me reporting them!

Sorry about your plate, Magik.

Next thing you know, they'll be pulling all plates that have the letter F in them. Bonehead bureaucrats.

Thinkin about trying to get PONIKLR for a plate. Think that will fly?

I wonder if they'd approve GODSGR8 but not LUVSA10. Ya figure they gotta sit there and stare at it to try to figure out what exactly the person is trying to "say"...:L Always helps to have a different view of the same plate, such as "Gee, OverDrive is great" or "Loves a 10" :D
I'm just waiting for the day I can change my plate from GM ZZ4 to GM ZZ502 :D :D
(sorry, didn't mean to hijack! :))

I get the "Kewl" part - but what does the "FN" mean?

I had CMRO KLR for two years here in VA, the Camaro drivers certainly got it!

Found North Dakota Motor Vehicles ?
Find MV ?
Found MV ?
Finned Motor Vehicles ? (like a '57 Desoto or something???)
:D

It's probably a good thing the city of "Effingham" is in Illinois, not Iowa. Imagine living in city whose name is considered "too obscene" by the DMV and PETA.
:ugh ;LOL
