The Wave

I have had 2 C5's, and I am a Corvette enthusiast. I agree that there is some truth in what you say, but we are not all like that. In my area, I would say that the large majority of C5 owners wave.

I agree with you fully. Most Vette drivers wave, most C5 drivers wave, but a higher percentage of those who don't wave are C5 drivers, and I think it is for the reason I have stated. I think it is our job to educate them, if everyone keeps waving at them, they'll either figure it out on their own, or they'll do some research...either way they'll either become waving fools, or they are just plain boring people. Just an opinion of course.

I still say it is not a matter of C5 owners being snooty, it is just that many of them are not true Corvette enthusiast, they just like the cool fast car. They haven't gotten the whole experience yet. Many of them never will. I'll keep a waving.

Thanks to you I think I've finally figured it out. We C5 drivers "are" snooty and as a result we only wave to each other.

For some reason you seem to be taking this way to personal, and don't read what I have said. My comments were never intended to be an attack on C5 owners. There are enthusisast in each and every generation of Corvette. I think, again just my opinion, that just by subscribing to this forum a person must be an enthusiast, not just a guy/gal with a cool car. I have said twice that I do not think all, or even most C5 owners are "snooty", but if the shoe fits, wear it.
