For our Throwback Thursday series, it doesn't get much better than "The Boss" and his 1960 Corvette!

Bruce Springsteen bought this beautiful Tuxedo Black 1960 Corvette in 1975 from a local ice cream stand attendant after his Born To Run album hit #3 on the Billboard 200 and catapulted "The Boss" to worldwide fame.

“Born To Run had earned me a Steinway baby grand piano and a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette I bought for six grand from a kid behind the counter,”

Frank Stefanko shot this photo of "The Boss" and his Corvette on a cold winter day back in 1978. Nearly 40 years later, Bruce Springsteen chose to adorn the cover of his autobiography, Born to Run with this photo.
