Time to see how well I can fix my boo-boo's.....

Paul

if i can't find the screws I'm looking for I'll just be leaving the anchors in anyway.
They DO seems to be working pretty good......

I've got real doubts as to whether JB weld would ever have enough strength to hold a head with any significant amount of torque applied to it. If so, don't believe it was tight in the first place.

I've had good luck with a pair of square nosed pliers and a good firm grip squeezing the plier handles while turing the screw. If you can get the smaller Vise grips on the shaft, you should be able to get the pliers on it as well. Use a quality pair, though, there's a lot of difference in a good pair and a cheap pair, same as is true for a lot of tools. Put them straight on at the nose, squeeze tightly, and turn without letting them slip. Believe it'll work . . .

well, got PB Blaster working on it. I'll hit it again later tonight than again in the morning and work on the screw in the afternoon.

i still need to paint one more molding piece anyway so have another day or two to get that screw out of there before it's reassembly time :beer

If you are concerned about the rust, There is a product by "Pro Form" coatings called wax oil. It's a wax based permanent rustproofing. It is very good for spraying behind areas like that to prevent futher advancement of the rust.
